Gallery 495 is located on the Harbour in Cellardyke, Fife.

Displayed in the phone box is a collection of sculptural studies, made from ceramic and wood, exploring different forms found in nature. In particular, drawing inspiration from the native wildlife that lives along the coast of the East Neuk in Fife such as basking sharks, sea urchins and plant life. Re-imagined through a sci-fi perspective, these forms are abstracted and simplified, then brought back to life as new sculptural creations. The title ‘slowly crawling, slow evolving’ makes reference to the distinctive ecosystem of the coast, where the amalgamation of innumerable life forms come together to form an entity in eternal movement.
